We believe powerful insights shouldn’t come at the cost of data security. That’s why we’ve reengineered Lexi—our AI-powered insights engine—to run entirely within our secure AWS environment. This means faster, smarter insights delivered with complete control over your customer data.
This upgrade marks a technical leap forward in our product and positions Lexer at the forefront of AI-powered customer data platforms.

New unlocks
Until now, generating AI-powered insights with Lexi required opt-in data sharing with third-party AI providers like OpenAI. While this enabled powerful analysis, we knew we could do better.
Today, that changes. Lexi now runs natively via AWS Bedrock, allowing us to access best-in-class foundation models—from providers like Anthropic, Mistral, and Meta—without your data ever leaving Lexer’s secure environment.
This unlocks:
- Tighter data privacy and compliance (including GDPR, CCPA)
- Reduced risk from third-party data sharing
- Consistent speed and performance
- A seamless experience—no setup required
You asked, we delivered
We know data privacy is top of mind for retailers. With this upgrade, we’ve addressed the most common questions and concerns:
Is the quality of insights the same? Yes. We're using high-performing AI models through AWS Bedrock with no performance loss.
Is my customer data more secure? Absolutely. All AI processing now takes place within Lexer’s AWS environment—your data stays fully under our control.
Do I need to do anything? Nope. We’ve already rolled out the upgrade. Lexi will be automatically enabled for all Lexer clients.
Is there a cost? No. Lexi is a core feature included in your Lexer subscription. Lexer Contact-our 1:1 messaging product-is still available as an optional add-on.
What types of data are used? Lexi analyzes customer behavior and metrics—never names, emails, or other personal identifiers. Lexer Contact uses limited personal data for message generation, also fully within our secure environment.
